Melaney began her career in 1987 as a Revenue Officer in the Collection Division. Nine of those years were spent as a Collections Manager handling a variety of group functions that included the oversight of the walk-in areas of two large Post of Duty’s. She has had the opportunity to oversee a variety of specialty groups within collections to include Offer In Compromise Specialist, Non-Filer Specialists, Computer and Bankruptcy Specialists. Her position as a Senior Tax Specialist with Taxpayer Education and Communication (TEC) of the Small Business/Self Employed Division (SB/ SE) allows her to utilize her previous years with the collection function as an excellent resource of information on the service’s policies and procedures within all aspects of notice and balance due accounts.
