Anita has been the manager of the IRS Appeals office in Miami, Fl. since 1998. She was an Appeals Officer for 18 years prior to becoming a manager. She has worked in the International Division of IRS and enjoyed an overseas assignment to Rome where she worked as an office auditor and taxpayer service representative. Anita is a graduate of Florida State University where she majored in Foreign Languages and English. She received her law degree from the University of Miami in 1985 and is a member of the Florida Bar. She is a certified mediator and helped draft the Revenue Procedures on mediation and arbitration. She is married and has two children; one is a sophomore at FSU and the other is an eighth grader.
